Finally finished up the owl piece on my right shin. I’ve been pretty sketched on getting this finished since I thought it looked so nice in black & gray but I’m pretty excited on how the color came out. But, good gravy did that spot hurt. Each of the 3 sessions (outline/shading & background/color) were two to two and a half hours long and they were spread out along the last 8 months.

This is Sherlock and Watson, my shark and my octopus. I’ve always been fascinated yet terrified with the ocean, I even grew up wanting to be a Marine Biologist, studying sharks. I can actually tell you almost anything you want to know about them! I plan on getting many more tattoos in the future but these two will always be my favorite and the most meaningful. They were done by Aaron Sy at Deathstar Tattoo in Modesto, CA. The shop has been closed down now, but I heard he still does tattoo work up in Fresno CA
